Ncuti Gatwa, the Rwandan-British actor and a newcomer to screens, with only a few minor TV and stage roles under his belt, is the breakout star of Netflix's hit coming-of-age drama Sex Education.

Gatwa has been dubbed the show’s ‘golden boy’ and a ‘scene stealer’ for his portrayal of Eric Effoing and Gatwa's frequently spoken about playing one of the only openly black gay teenagers on TV as well as the relevance of being the voice of a ‘minority within a minority’. A second series of the show was recently confirmed by Netflix, meaning fans won’t have to wait long to see Gatwa back on screens.
